Graffiti & Fences

Posted in: Hidden Meadow
I hope that quite a few people read this and or tell someone who should live on Timber Path and Les Harrison. We(the Board), S.A.F.F.E Officer and a boy having to do community service painted graffiti this past Saturday. Our Officer suggested that we ask all the residents along the two main streets to paint their fences and buy an extra gallon of paint. We (the Board) and the Officer would paint your fence if and when it was tagged, but it would not be spotted, it would be one color. The paint we can get is either white or gray. It would make our neighborhood so much nicer looking.

Correcting Graffiti offenses

Back in the 1980's, Culebra was a two lane road from loop410 to loop1604 - there was no graffiti, no cows wandering the streets, no vehicles parked on the yards, no need for a designated bicycle lane on Les Harrison, no speed bumps on Les Harrison resulting from people in a hurry to get to the stop sign at Timberpath. Good job in painting over the graffiti, the best color to use would be gray. The residents affected by this should be in unison on what color to use so that the fences look uniform. What these vandals do not realize is that this is their local neighborhood, and defacing it is not cool. The postal areas have also been defaced by taggers, and covered up with gray paint. Wouldn't it be nice to be able to walk down the street with your head held up high-proud to be a resident of this community.
Great Times

I too can remember those days. We slept with our doors and windows open to get the CLEAN air. If we had thought of defacing any property, God help us........... We would have had a good razor strap and then walked our little rears to the police and told them, after they got through with us, we would be making restitution to the people who owned the property. Those were the good ole days, when we were taught to respect not only ourselves but others.

vandalism

We moved to our home a few months ago from
FLORIDA,,its incredible that in just a few months my car got tagged,,right in front of my house, someone put dog poo in my mailbox, and some other things that i will not mention. When we first got here we liked the area because it seemed ''quiet'', ''clean'' and ''friendly''.Why should my family have to worry about whats going to be next??
