Hidden Oaks

Important Pool News

May 15, 2001

The Hidden Oaks Board fo Directors has recently been hard at work on some changes at the pool. It has come to the attention of the Board that many residents of Midvale Park who do not live in Hidden Oaks are swimming in the pool. Many homeowners have called Stratford Management to complain that the pool is often crowded with swimmers who live in areas of Midvale Park other than Hidden Oaks. People who live outside Hidden Oaks do not realize that the residents of Hidden Oaks pay an assessment to the subassociation for the use of this pool. Some people think that the pool is there for all residents of Midvale Park, and others just want to swim! Not only does this create crowding at the pool, but it takes its toll on the pool itself.
The Board of Directors has decided to convert the entry gates on Blucher and in the parking lot to an electronic card system. This system does away with keys and instead uses cards that are similiar to credit cards. Each homeowers will be issued a card and the number on the card will be intered into an off-site computer that will let the electronic strike system at the gate determine if the card is valid. Each homeowner will have a specific number. If the card is lost or stolen, a new card will be issued to the homeowner, at the cost of $15.00, and the number of the old card will be deleted from the computer so that the old card no longer works.
The date for implementation of the electronic card system is May 22nd, 2001. The Board of Directors will be at the pool that evening from 5:00pm, untill 7:00pm to issue the new cards to homeowners. You will be required to provide I.D., and when you are given your new key card, you will be asked to sign a pool agreement and receipt. Only the owner on the deed of record will be issued a new key (keys will not be provided to children on behalf of their parents). Cards will only be issued to those homeowners who are current in their assessments, so if you haven't quite gotten around to sending in that payment, please do it soon so that we can give you your new card for the pool. If your assessment account is delinquent, payment must be received at Stratford Management no later than Friday, May 18,2001. Homeowners who do not pick up their card at the pool on May 22,2001 will be unable to enter the pool after that date and will need to come to Stratford Management at 3055 N. Campbell to pick up the card key.
