Fire Hazard
There is a topic I would like to be included in our next neighborhood meeting. I see a lot of cigarettes on my lawn. I have talked about this with my neighbor across the street and they are having the same problem. It is a big concern for me because I been spending a lot of time and money trying to improve my lawn, and makes me upset to see all that trash been thrown away on my property. Last year during the hot months of summer and fall I had burned spots in my lawn. My lot is 93BC (15619 Beckley Hills Dr.). It?’s just common sense and a big lack of responsibility and consideration to others. IT IS A FIRE HAZARD!

RE: Fire Hazard
Ed, thanks for the message .... This can be classified as littering, which is not allowed. If you witness another homeowner littering on your property, please report this to the HBS Hotline.. They will need which neighbor(s) to talk to in order to be effective. Responsible homeowners should dispose of cigarette butts properly. We will add this to next newsletter in the ''For Neighbors, By Neighbors'' section. - Jeff

We too have noticed cigarette butts in the grassy area around our mailbox, along the sidewalk, and in our mulch. This is extremely dangerous and a huge fire hazard, especially in these hot dry months.
