This is my second message and I will still remain anonymous...in today's atmosphere...who would put in their name and address and risk reprisal from a neighbor!!!
Yes, Pat Acres is becoming a speedway again. I for one did not sign the petition for speed bumps, but after they were put in I loved it. But now with the passage of time, we are having more speeders than before and cars with very LOUD music. And like the Beasley resident said ''These are our neighbors''..I can find the speeding cars in their driveways.
So this is not a cut through problem as indicated in our newletter..it's the residents of our lovely neighborhood!!
I feel sorry for new neighbors moving in with children...they need to be very wary of our streets!
What To Do?

Hi Neighbor!

You are lucky that you live on a road with speed humps. It slows the vehicles down, so now you only have to deal with the LOUD music. We live on a street that has access from Hanley Rd., wthout speed humps and we have to listen to the loud music AND the roar of most vehicles going MUCH FASTER than the posted 25 MPH. We also see the vehicles in the drives when we walk through the neighborhood. It saddens me to think that some of those that live around here set the worst examples by ignoring the posted speeds. We also have a problem with people throwing trash, drink bottles and cans out their auto windows into our ditch along the roadway.

The question for you is how /when did the petition for the speed humps come around? We have lived here since 1991 and never saw or heard of anyone coming around giving us this option on our street. There are now small children that live on our street and I sure hope they never step in to the street at the wrong time.

You are not alone in your concerns.

Loud Music, Speeding, etc.

I am also seeing really big trucks coming down Beasley Rd. I thought we had posted weight limit signs? The loud music and speeding are getting really bad, as is the people running the stop signs. I know of 2 families who had lived here since the 70's who recently moved and while yes, they have gotten older, they moved, not for retirement issues (as something about this was written in the newletter), but they both said they felt the neighborhood was going down. One man said he was tired of dealing with his neighbors who would play loud music all the time. I am seriously considering selling and trying to find a quieter neighborhood.
