I think one of the problems is the lack of deed restrictions (we did have them, but they expired-I asked the county) which impacts the traffic and noise on the streets..There are many people who have their lawn businesses, car repair shops, towing companies, etc., operated from their residence.

And it looks horrible to see these homes with 10-12 cars on their lawns!
