Historic Kenwood

sending out friendly feelers!

Posted in: Historic Kenwood
hello historic kenwood!

this might seem weird, but i found ya'll by clicking around on the internet. i actually live in south dakota. my parents, who live in minnesota, will be retiring to seminole in 21/2 years, and have already purchased a home down there. as they are probably going to spend 8 to 9 months of the year in fla and the balance up here in minnesota (which they would probably skip, cept they want to see their kids!) my husband and i are SERIOUSLY considering moving to the area ourselves. we are homeowners and would buy a home there. i am VERY curious about historic kenwood. would it be a good place to raise a child? anything you can tell me would be so very, very appreciated. your neighborhood description stood out for me from all the rest. i can't put my finger on why...but i think i picked up a true community spirit. that's what we want most of all...to be part of a larger ''family''. two years is our time frame. we want to tie up loose ends here and carefully consider where we buy a home. please respond! i've already written to sharon, but i guess i figure with information, the more the merrier!

like i said, anything would help. we'll be visiting this coming winter. historic kenwood will be our second stop, right after we jump into mom and dad's car and zoom up to st. pete!

have a great day!

kay...and my husband patrick (if he knew i was writing this! and he will!)

COME ON DOWN TO SUNNY FLA

Well its good to know that there are people out there who really look for a great place to live and boy have you found one. Seriously, Historic Kenwood would be a great place for you and Patrick to come and live. It is an extremely friendly and close neighborhood where it's easy to get to know your neighbors. Please come and see us when you are in town and let us know when and I am sure you will get a warm reception from everyone. Looking forward to hearing from you.
It's a great place!

If a friendly and convient neighborhood with great architecture is what your looking for, this is the place. Most people know their neighbors. The interstate is close. The houses are all different(most built in the 20's and 30's). Yes, the summers are hot, but the winters are cool, not cold. So, I hope you give us a good look when you come. I think you'll be pleased.
P.S. Hey Paul, You sound like Johnny Olsen from the Price Is Right, ''COME ON DOWN!''.
