alley trash

Posted in: Historic Kenwood
Does anyone have any experience educating people in the proper procedures for getting rid of items that won't fit in the trash containers like old furniture, appliances or construction debris? We seem to have a real problem with it on my block. I don't want create hard feelings but maybe I need to not worry about that so much and just let folks know how ugly and even dangerous it is to throw it into the alley. The regular trash trucks can't pick it up so what do they think is going to happen to it? Maybe the trash fairy will come and take it away? Looking for any ideas. M

Stickers

One solution that has been tried is to put stickers on the trash bins that explain what the procedure is. The association put them on in my area. Talk to mark about getting some for your area.
