Thanks Bill

Hi Bill-
Thanks so much for the nice compliment. You are too sweet and I was smiling as I read your post!
You are right, there are many great things to talk about in this neighborhood! There are so many people moving in positive directions to help keep this neighborhood on the upswing. Whether it be corner cleanup, parties, neighbors helping other neighbors etc., (the list goes on and on). Sometimes it may seem to some that the neighborhood is standing still but it isn't. I perhaps see things from a different perspective. I see homes that are literally falling down being transformed into beautiful little bungalows (this is thanks to many)! Every time a house goes on the market,we are almost guaranteed that a nice neighbor will move in (the prices of the homes in here dictate that). We are all benefiting from the real estate values in this neighborhood. The most wonderful prospective buyers are driving through our neighborhood every day!!! People that care about where they are going to live and are enthusiastic about their new homes! So many positive things are happening in here if we can all hang tight and appreciate what it is that we have. When I moved in here 2 years ago I felt that I had moved into a ghetto. I lived near a prostitute and drug dealer. The corner I lived on had a stop sign that not many obeyed. I tried to do everything I could to clean some of these things up. Now, the prostitute is gone-in jail, the dealer has stopped and I successfully worked with the city to remove some palm trees and paint stop bars and divider lines on the street so people could see that there was a stop sign ahead. The point is that some things can become better if we have conviction! Complaining ALL the time is not conviction, it is shifting the responsibility to others! Kenwood has made HUGE strides. I say thanks to all that do whatever it is that they are doing to help make Kenwood a better place to live!!

Let's all get out there and do whatever it is that we can do. Beauty Solicits Respect!
