The Highland Douglas neighborhood consists of many historic subdivisions. The Lauderderdale subdivision was one of these and was developed in the time frame of around the 1920's. I am wondering what streets this included. Specifically, I am wondering if Grasmere was part of this subdivision. Several houses were built in 1920s on Grasmere and include American 4 squares, craftsman style houses. The street is narrow with no sidewalks. I am wondering if it was once a walkway and not a street or just a passage way towards the bottom of the hill as it connects to Spring and Lauderdale. Also I noticed there are no telephone lines that run across the street. Very nice. The houses on the flat section of Grasmere coming off of Bardstown Rd are perfectly aligned. I would like to know more of the history. I am curious as to anyone's historic knowledge.
