I am a home owner and a business owner on Kenneth Avenue between Budd and Waldo.  I was recently made aware of a remodel that has been approved by The City of Campbell that in no way fits the neighborhood.  Five doors down from my home.  Most all the homes in this particular area (with the exceptions being recent remodels approved by the planning committee in Campbell) are country style homes on very large lots.  Unfortunately the city of Campbell has approved a masive 2 story remodel at 559 Kenneth Avenue where there is already an in-law quarters behind the house AND a new tennis court and now they are building a home nothing short of the Taj Mahal.  It is outrageously enormous and stares down into the homes on Sobrato Dr.  It will be painted white with orange exterior walls on the sides.   Now the Taj Mahal is one of the most beautiful structures on this planet but it does not belong in Campbell.  Think of this. . .   would you take a country style home and build it next door to the Taj Mahal ?  I don't think so. . . it wouldn't look right !  It is the very same concept here !  What is going on with the city of Campbell approving all these horrific remodels !  Hmmmm lets see. . . could it be the tax $$ ?  Revenue for the city. . .  is that Campbell's only concern, how much money they can squeeze out of people.  The home being built at 559 Kenneth should be approved on a minimum 2 acre lot !
