CERT Team Graduation

Congratulations to the first C.E.R.T (Community Emergency Response Team) class representing our far northwest Detroit area. The 29 graduates are from our 8th precinct community, and will graduate on March 17.
The CERT program is important as it trains us how to be prepared for an emergency, such as the black out, a tornado, accident or even a terrorist attack. The CERT members are trained to assist the first responders with first aid, triage, light search and rescue and fire suppression and in some cases they are the first responders.
