I'm proud to be an American. It did not take an attack on my country to make me proud. I cannot remember anytime in my life that I wasn't proud to be an American. As a Boy Scout carrying the flag in parades, displaying it on special occasions, saying the pledge of allegiance at all sporting events... As a Sergeant in the U.S. Army overseas, I always felt a swell of pride when I would see it go up the flagpole every morning. There has always been a flag on display in my office in some way or another, maybe just because I LOVE AMERICA.
What happend on September 11, 2001 was a wake up call for a lot of Americans that have been lulled into a false sense of security. For them to think it could never happen at home was just what they wanted us to believe until it happened. Believe me, it can happen anywhere, ant any time until we rid the world of the element that wants to destroy our freedom as Americans. I ask that you support our leaders with your prayers and support as we do have the best leaders in the world. I have to believe that God is on our side and will help us see this to the finish.
I ask you to say a little extra prayer for the thousands of families that lost loved ones on September 11, 2001 a day that will live in infamy. GOD BLESS AMERICA!
With that being said, I want to thank you for electing me as your president for the following year. It is truly an honor to have this faith and trust placed upon me, I promise not to let you down.
I plan to have a very exciting year to get more of our members involved in different projects and programs. I believe that an active organization will keep its members involved and ready to volunteer when asked.
