Streetlights
Yes, we need more people on this forum but I think most people do not care what's going on around here.
As for the streetlights, since I did not get many positive responds, I kinda left it in limbo without pursuing the subject further. Another reason, after seeing a news segment on some TV channels a couple of weeks ago, that the City and Centerpoint Energy are teaming up to install free streetlights in Sunnyside area to make the streets safer (link: http://www.houstontx.gov/mayor/press/20070711.html).
I really don't see why we should pay for our own streetlights while other people are receiving them for free elsewhere. We need streetlights here for the very same reason, to make our street safer and to deter prostitution & crime.
I had in mind to take this up with the City soon when I have a bit more time. Maybe it's time for M.J. Khan to do something good for this area.
