Hi All! I finally figured this thing out. The other night at our meeting there was discussion about calling peoples landlords if they were sex offenders. No one wants to live next door to a dangerous child predator, however, my understanding of sex offenders is that they are mostly ''sex addicts'' and as such, are sick but not incurable. I'm reluctant to tar all these people with the same brush. Most have been victims of sexual abuse themselves. Like alcoholics and drug addicts, sex addicts can and do recover. My religion tells me that I shouldn't judge people too hard. I would not like to be the person responsible for getting someone evicted who is getting the help they need and starting their life over in another way. I think that before we start crusading against someone we should have more to go on than just that they appear on a sex offender data base.
