New Sign...Same Stupid Teenagers...

Posted in: Hunters Chase

Soooo, just driving down into our neighborhood after my 13hr night shift...hoping to finally see our nice brand new sign complete and what do i see.... same F*&$%ng grafitti that we've been seeing all over our neighborhood on both sides of our new entrance sign!!! Two people to blame, first of, of course those idiot parents who keep on thinking their idiot teenagers who go out after curfue are "at a friends house studying"...when in fact they are distroying other peoples property... and second, our lovely home owners association, for not doing enough to control this grafitti. i know our HOA are not the police, but i think enough has gone on for them to get involved a bit more to control this. One way this grafitti on this sign could have been avided was to complete this sign in a faster more timely manner. it has taken MONTHS for them to finish it and the sign just sits there, in the dark at night, begging to be defaced and destroyed. Why havent the lights been placed on the sign??? well, i hope everyone who reads this makes a phone call, or emails our president of the HOA.This needs to stop or this beautiful neighborhood will turn out like many of the once beautiful neighborhoods where i grew up in... grafitti on the walls and cars parked on the grass in the front yard. You people dont know how good we have it here in this beautiful subdivision. Lets keep it clean and safe, if anything for our children! Please take pride in where you live, this is OUR HOME!

You're absolutely right! But then again there's seems to be a real problem just getting the people who rent properties to mow their lawns on and near Lost Lake. The basic issue here is that our community has too many rental properties where either the landlords or management companies don't take an active interest in maintaining.  I'm not placing the blame totally on the leased houses and occupants but it seems that our community has gone down hill with the increase in these tenants to include criminal activities, graffiti, trash, noise, etc. And I do believe the HOA has sort of lost it's commitment to the neighborhood. Too bad, but maybe it's time to form a neighborhood coalition to file a lawsuit to get things done.
