Skateboard Park

This property may be looked at as a park by the Metro District, but Village Homes is the reason it became a Skateboard park. They built all the ramps and supplied the materials. Prior to that it was only used for rollerblading by families.
Skateboard Park

From what I have heard, the plans call for an inline skating rink on one of the surfaces with the other surface to remain an open skate area. Food for thought: If you think the noise and trash from the skateboard crowd is annoying, wait until they start building and occupying the apartments on the empty lot to the north of the skate park. We're getting "high-end" apartments in our backyard very soon (they were out surveying last week).

Thank-you for bringing this problem to our attention. Did you have any luck when you contacted Sherry Eppers or Tom Hoby? I have contacted the sales team to get a better idea of what's happening. If you have any questions please e-mail me or call 303-795-2295-136

Not correct

The sunken water tanks were not used by families to rollerblade, in fact the water tanks were quickly taken over by the teenage skate boarders using construction supplies and trash to make ramps and jumps. Village Homes attempted to clean this up by placing trash recepticals and providing supplies to the Metro District to build clean looking and safe ramps. Even with these 'gifts' the young adults have shown no responsibility. The blame should go to the teens and their parents not Village Homes. The Metro District has plans to convert the tops of the water tanks into a basketball court and two tennis courts. This of course will not eliminate the problem with out of control teens using the space for what ever pleases them. The only solution is to have adults show up and use the facilities when they are there. Teens don't like to 'hang' with adults and will leave to find a location the adults will not go to.
