What does a Neighborhood Association do?

Hears and addresses (where appropriate) concerns
Crime Watch
Apply for grant funds - signs, beautify parks
Initiate improvements
Standards and address substandard concerns
Code enforcement

We are neighbors who care for and about each other. We are proud of our neighborhood and we want to assure it remains a quality place to live and raise children.

Maintain or enhance

Seek first to resolve concerns within the community.

Where concerns cannot be resolved by the community we will ask for city assistance.

We will communicate positively and constructively with class befitting the neighborhood.

We expect neighbors in this area to show the pride and take care of their property (lawn and house) and if unusual circumstances exist we will assist neighbors in this endeavor.

We will recognize and show appreciation to neighbor who consistently assure their house and lawn are well maintained and set the example for the neighborhood.

We will have monthly meetings and neighbors will be notified by e-mail or post card.

We will have agendas for meetings and minutes will be kept.

We will seek to be a positive, effective Neighborhood Association and share our experience with other communities in the WH area seeking to form /or improve Neighborhood Associations.

We will watch out for each other and communicate with each other and the WH Police Department where necessary any unusual individuals in the neighborhood and any suspected/or actual acts of vandalism or lawlessness.
