Lake Interlochen Boating and Fishing Regulations



Lake Interlochen is a private lake, completely owned by lot owners whose property extends to the center of the lake. An easement granted to the Lake Interlochen Homeowners Association establishes lake easement boundries and sets aside use of the lake exclusively for the owners of lake lots. The Lake Interlochen Homeowner's Associat has adopted the following Rules and Regulations for the Lake:

1. Boats or other water borne vehicles
a. Only boats owned by Association members are allowed on the lake.
b. Each boat or water borne vehicle must be marked with assigned numbers and letters no smaller than 3" in height on both sides toward the front in an easily viewed position. Assigned numbers and letters will be the owners street address followed by the following letter designations for his/her street name:

Findlay Drive - FD Crowley Road - CR
Findlay Court - FC San Juan Court - SJ
Westwood Dr. - WD Loch Lomond Dr. - LL
Montreau Ct. - MC San Paulo Ct. - SP
Porto Bello Ct. - PB

Example: If your address is 707 Findlay Drive, Your boat registration number would be : 707FD

2. Fishing Rules and Regulations
a. Homeowner Association members and their immediate families may fish any and or all parts of the lake as to the easement of the lake.
b. Homeowner Association members may allow guest to fish from their lot only. They will not be allowed to fish from a boat unless accompanied by a homeowner.
c. Fish Harvest Regulations will be issued from time to time to help control the fish population and health. (At the present time we maintain a catch and release program.)

Lake Interlochen Home Owners Association

Lake Interlochen Home Owners Association is an association established for the maintenance and upkeep of the canal system. This includes the impound and dam on Rush Creek and the inflow and outflow structures in our lake. It also has come to include water issues, wildlife management and other lake issues. Members of the association are made up of Homeowners who live on the lake. Their properties extend to the center of the lake and they grant an easement to the association for use of other members.
