property values

we must ban together to keep our property values at current market value, by protecting our property from decay. Too many homes are being sacrificed to wood rot and disrepair, yards unkept and violating the basic covenant rules of parking on the grass in our front yards. Our home in particular has an apraissed value of $132.5K ...Unfortunatly we cannot expect to even come close to that figure at time of sale, due to the neighborhood market values. The last few houses that sold on our block, were in such a state of dis-repair that the market value had to be drastically sacrificed to make the sale. Our beautiful home is for sale...and too bad for us that we won't be able to enjoy all of our rightful profits...because of a few bad apples.

I feel your pain. Another reason prospective buyer will turn away is the general unkept look of the whole subdivision and littering. I am constantly seeing empty quart beer bottles and liquor bottles on the curbs in front of the house. What kind of people are coming in here at night? And what will they do while intoxicated?
I believe that more renters are moving in also, no pride in ownership. Good luck with the sale!
