Proposed Redevelopment of Julington Creek
Yacht Sales and Marina
Late last year, a proposal for the redevelopment of the Julington Creek Yacht Sales and Marina to allow for multi-family residential zoning and a high rise condominium were submitted to the City of Jacksonville. A community meeting on the proposal was held by Councilwoman Copeland at Greenland Pines Elementary School in late November. The project has generated considerable community interest and opposition. Public hearings will be held by the City on the project (application number CCHA-PZ1, development number 5008). Those have tentatively been scheduled as follows: City Council first reading, February 14; COJ Planning Committee, February 16; and the Land Use and Zoning Committee (LUZ) , February 22.
