correction to above ...
I meant to say Settlers Landing I believe rather than Sutters Mill in the above. It's the neighborhoods with the twin lakes and gazebo.

Walgreens
I am greatly opppsed to the construction of Argyle at this intersection. If this store is given the go ahead taht entire area will turn into a commercial zone. We cannot let that happen. There is alot of unused area further down Argyle near Chaffee-Brannanfield, they can build there.

PUBLIC HEARINGS DEFERRED 2 WEEKS
The Public Hearing have been Deferred by the applicant (Sleiman Brothers for Walgreens) for two weeks.
The AACC will send out an email as soon as we have the new dates.
Apparently the negative reaction by the community to the Walgreens at Argyle Forest Blvd and Rampart Road has caused a delay in the public hearing process.
Thank you for your comments via Discussion Postings, Email and Phone Calls.

Publix to build new store in Feb
In response to our desires to have the commercial development get started near Oakleaf Plantation, Publix will break ground on a new store at the corner of AFB and Old Middleburg(to be renamed Oak Leaf Plantation Blvd on the south side of AFB)in February, 2002. It will have a pharmacy. There is no need for a pharmacy at Rampart and AFB to serve the neighborhood and no need to spot zone residential property to attempt it. Spot Zoning almost always creates problems and definitely destroys the character of the neighbrhood.
