We had a good turnout at the hearing Thursday and I believe we made an impression on them with our numbers.


E-01-38 was not heard because the ''proof of public notice'' had not been provided to the Planning Department by the Appplicant. It is a standard requirement that the applicant publish
a public notice in the ''Financial News & Daily Record.'' The Daily Record's office is located at 10 N. Newnan St. on the east side of the Florida Theater Bldg.

Great turnout! Keep coming! As we have
found out before in previous zoning matters, you can't be sure if an item will or will not be heard unless you are at the hearing and they give you a
definite affirmation of their decision to hear or not hear that day like they did Thursday. Also, each time we are there ''in force'' it reaffirms our
position and reinforces all the hard work that's been done to let them know that the majority of the neighbors who have ''standing'' [within 350',
Neighborhood associations, CPAC, etc.} are against it. We definitely had an impact by being there and by not leaving until they gave us that announcement.

E-01-38 HEARING, 5/24/01

We joined our neighbors once again on Thurday to ask the C.O.J. Planning Commission to deny The Application for an Exception to the zoning code on Belfort Road. WE WERE SUCCESSFUL. This proves that, when folks unite for a common cause which has merit, They will win the battle.
