Pampered Chef...

So what you are saying is Pampered Chef is going to give the money directly to Lisa and her family to pay for medical bills??? Or is the money going to the MS fund to help work on a cure? You need to be very correct here in what you are saying. Yes, Lisa has done a huge amount of work for this area, but I agree with the last person who posted. If someone would like to help you, give some contact info so they can get a hold of you. I would tend to believe that Pampered Chef does not give money from there sales directly to an individual, something sounds fishy about this.

Yes Zack you are correct and yeah, it is a littel unscrupulous but only to a point. So I am glad you asked. I have been with The Pampered Chef for 6 years and our fundraisers stink profit wise but it's what I know how to do.
Now, I spoke to Evonne, Lisa's mom, about this on the 18th AFTER the original post and she was the one who suggested we help out Lisa. My original plan was to send all the $$ the MS Society. ONLY 15% - this is the stinky part - via The Pampered Chef and the rest via a personal check. (I have done this before with our Help WHip Cancer Campaigns that we have in May. I simply let the Pampered Chef do it's thing via the products we sell for that cause then I send a check in with all the other cash donations. We, my ''guests'' and I, sent in $2100 in ''extra'' donation in 2006, and $1750 in 2005 to the American Cancer Society. And we did this independently of the Pampered Chef.) Nothing different with this case.
So, with Evonne's suggestion, we change the plan. So here is the deal.
In September, cookbooks, the ones we normally sell at $14.75 each plus $4 S&H or $18.75, for $10 each.
If I sell them at $15 each, and I personally am covering the S&H and tax minus a quarter, this means the people who buy them, save $3.75 plus the $1.05 (5.6%) tax, over the normal price. And are helping two causes at the same time. Lisa and the MS Society.
$15.00 per book.
$1.50 (15%) per book goes to the MS Society via The Pamepred Chef.
$5.00 directly from the sale of each book to Lisa.
$1.00 more to Lisa on the 8th of October from my 17% commission per book. (This leaves me $.70 of my commission to cover the $4.05 minus $.25 or $3.80 each person IS NOT BEING asked to pay when they buy 1 book.)
Now the only problem. None of this works if no one knows about it. If you don';t want me knocking on doors, or spending the money from the sales, how do you all suggest I get sales?

Now for the other one...

The very last line of my original post says, ''If I don't catch you in the park tomorrow, drop me an e-mail if you would like to help.'' If you notice, I have my e-mail address listed on all of my posts thus far. This means I give you all leave to contact me privately. This means if YOU DO NOT WANT ME TO ''KNOCK ON YOUR DOOR'' e-mail me to let me know the address I should not bother stopping at. I don't know how else to do this. Spending money to have some shindig or to get helping me pass out flyers is not an option as it would take away from the donation. I can only afford so much outlay for this. And those two options are not in my budget. So, tell me how to do this short of finding someone to buy 1000 cookbooks out right? I am open to suggestion?
