We are once again hosting our chili cook-off this year! Come and enjoy the 2nd Annual Shetland Drive Chili Cook-off starting at 5pm on Halloween night. Everyone is invited to either bring a pot of chili or just come to taste a sample of others' famous chili. We will have everything else included (meaning chips, napkins, spoons, blah, blah...), but you are invited to bring your own beverage. It is a safe and sane BYOB as well as (obviously) kids can chill out after their fun in trick or treating. We will have a few barrels for the kids (or adults if you dare) for bobbing for apples. Just hang out and enjoy the fire pits. :)
We do this ever year and want to get others involved to bring our community closer. Last year at our 1st official cook-off we had a great time, lots of people, and it was fun for the kids as well as adults. Many people gathered with their candy dishes and others just to hang out and visit. This year Halloween falls on football night, so we are still putting ideas together to possibly mix in some NFL fun... any ideas are welcome. :)
This fun event will be located just northeast ofthe school. From the front of Simonton head east on Castlegate for 1 block, take a left on Burwick and a right on Shetland. From the far east entrance... take your first right from Castlegate and follow to the left. You can't miss us... most of the street will be lit up and partying! Hope to see you there! :)
