Some of you may not know this so I thought I woud post something here. The Incorporation group is at it again. This time since they have been basically shot down by at least one of the neighboring cities they have decieded to try to change the law that states they need permission of the neighboring cities. Hello All:
I am sure you are getting plenty of e-mails on this subject - I would like to provide you my input on this subject as well. As a resident of the area which would be directly effected by this bill I would like each of you to know that I am opposed to the action of this bill. There is a reason why a law is in place now. The small group of people pushing the incorportation do not have the majority of the peoples concerns in mind. Pinal County has recently raised property taxes, while other countys have lowered theirs. If this bill is introduced and passed this could lead to another raise in county taxes. When I look down my street and see for sale sign after for sale sign, now does not seem the right time for incorporation and higher property taxes.
If this bill passes I believe many people like me (who have been sitting by and watching to see if our government does what's right for the people) could reconsider our elected representation. This past November the voice of people was heard through their votes and many changes were made.
Please remember who has placed you in office and do what is best for the majority of the people, not a few.
Thank you.
