Keep Columbus Beautiful
Mission
The mission of Keep Columbus Beautiful is to promote recycling, litter prevention, beautification efforts, neighborhood cleanups, and community pride for the city of Columbus.
Background
Keep Columbus Beautiful was established as Columbus Clean Community in April, 1983, to implement a comprehensive litter prevention, voluntary recycling, and beautification program. In 1996, Columbus Clean Community changed its name to Keep Columbus Beautiful to clearly identify itself with the Keep America Beautiful system.
Keep Columbus Beautiful is part of the Keep America Beautiful system, a national non-profit public service organization dedicated to litter prevention, recycling, and beautification efforts.
How to Get Involved
Citizens, community groups and businesses can get information about volunteer opportunities by contacting the staff of Keep Columbus Beautiful at 645-8027. Projects could include a litter cleanup, recycling drive or beautification project, in addition to helping staff displays at community events and clerical assistance. Your suggestions for new projects are always welcome.
