Lines are slowing traffic down
There is nothing charming about 60+ mph traffic on Kenner Ave. The fact is that we had a very dangerous problem and the traffic committee worked within the guidelines set by metro to remedy the excessive speeding. The current striping configuration is THE ONLY sloution that was offered by metro as our ''next step'' in atttempting to slow traffic. Metro has the results from that most recent study offering conclusive proof that the program has made a drastic impact. One other thought: The only chance a neighborhood has to have an impact is to speak with one voice and speak often and loudly. Anonymous postings and general gripes are worthless to the Association as there is no opportunity to have offline discussions to address concerns. When the only postings to this site are ''anonymous'' we just look like a bunch of whiners. Being unwilling to sign your name to criticism is weak. If you won't sign it, don't write it.
