On the weekend of October 13,14,15, 2006 severe rainstroms hit our area that caused several parts of our city to have some drainage and flooding problems. Since I live on Green Meadow Circle I am familiar with some of the problems on the Circle and Green Meadow Court that ocurred that weekend. Some time in the near future I am to meet with a represenative from MSD and he has asked me to get the addresses on Green Meadow Cirle and Court that had any drainage and/or flooding problems that weekend. If anyone on Green Meadow Ct. or Green Meadow Cir.had any drainage or flooding near or in their home please call me at 897-1915 and leave your address if I am not at home.

The reason MSD is coming out to look at the drainage problems on Green Meadow Circle and Court is because MSD has a drainage project that will hopefully eliviate some of the drainage problems on the Court and behind Stivers Road.

As a reminder to all of our residents if a culvert runs through your yard, it should be the responsibility of the home owerns to keep these culverts free of anything that can cause water to back up and not flow freely through these culverts. This is especially true in the rear of Stivers Road where a concrete culvert runs through several yards.
6702, 6704, 6706, 6708

Green Meadow Court all had water either in their homes, up to the door, or covering large parts of their yards.

The only way they're going to fix this with their project is to change the whole grade of the circle, and essentially make the center grassy area a flood retention basin. It doesn't matter how much work they do behind 6701,6703, 6705, 6707 or 6709 (which if I understand is ALL they were planning on doing), the water all flows to the even # end. Stand in front of 6700's driveway and look due west, if you don't see a 10% slope towards 6704 on the angle of the street I'll buy you lunch.

The water also encroached into many of the backyards (especially 6706), and was over knee deep of a 6'0 man at the end of the drives at 6702 and 6704.

I have a few pictures. Email me and I'll send them to you.
