new street signs?

Let's Wait

I agree with waiting until the Westport widening is complete. It will be a fresh start for the neighborhood's ''new look'' and we could waste money by some of the signs that will be affected.

Now, how fiscally reponsible would it be for Woodlawn Park city government to spend, as another poster pointed out to you, what would amount to thousands of taxpayer dollars on a project that could be completely obliterated by the Westport Road Widening Project? The others are correct, wait until the project has been completed, then re-do the entrances.

P.S. If you feel you need a little sprucing-up in the meantime, check-out the latest issue of ''Anonymous-Quarterly'' for the latest spring looks.

Fiscally Responsible

I'm not even talking about the entrances or signs at the entrances. I know those will be destroyed with the road project. I am talking about the street and stop signs throughout the park.
And you talk about being fiscally responsible, how fiscally responsible is it to take on a house as our city hall that we are spending thousands of dollars on and now monthly expenses and our council still holds meetings at the church?
And sorry, I haven't seen the issue you mentioned but I did catch you on the cover of ''Always A Wise-guy With An Immature Remark''.

If you're unhappy with the appearance of Woodlawn Park street/stop signs you should exercise your right as a citizen and see if your neighbors agree with you. Start a petition for new street/stop signs. Tell the participants that you're unhappy with the way you ''feel'' when you drive through the neighborhood. Tell them that the signs are what the rest of MetroLouisville has, but it's too 5th class city for you. Tell them also it will cost, in addition to the funds you complain about going to City Hall, thousands of dollars, but it will make you ''feel'' better. And...good luck with that.

See you at the newstands!
