As a resident of the village, I am concerned with the direction we are heading. I have been to the council meetings, and I beleive that there are personal agendas being put forward to the detriment and cost of the residence. Are we refunding tax penalties, while ticketing people for parking in front of thier own homes?
Lets find out how our tax dollars are being spent together at the next meeting, May 14th 6:00pm!

I agree - time for a change!

I agree with you, SRS. The direction the city is heading is terrible. I've just received word from the latest meeting that our police chief has now resigned, citing his difficulties with Ms. Bell as his main reason. I can't say I blame him. Of course, he isn't alone. Mayor Bell has brought nothing but turmoil to our peaceful, quiet little city from the time she became a candidate. Yes, the voters did want a change, Ms. Bell ... change of personality. Not a change in every single thing the city does, as you seem to think. I believe you are exercising a personal vendetta on our city, because you are upset at having to pay penalties on taxes you chose not to pay. First you took out your anger on our treasuer and newsletter editor. Now we are left with an amateur-looking newsletter that looks as if it were produced 20 years ago, instead of the professional looking and informative one we had before. Now you have run off our beloved police chief. Maybe that's what you had in mind all along, since you want to get rid of our police dept. altogether. Let's get real ... you have no interest in surveying what our residents want. You only want to try and get them to agree with you. I'm sure that most residents have no idea of the power hungry way in which you have run our city, and the rude manner in which you conduct our monthly meetings (or should I say weekly, since you seem to call so many special meetings) and treat people who express opposing viewpoints. I believe it's time for change. It's time for our residents to know the real story behind how our mayor is running our city. It's time for the turmoil to end. Miss Mayor, don't be surprised if a recall petition starts circulating to have you removed as mayor and calling a new election. WE WANT OUR CITY BACK!!!!
