Moving Sewer Lines
We have been hearing rumors in the Lackland Terrace area about the possibility of moving the SEWER lines from the Alley/Easements at the rear of the properties to the streets. There are NO PLANS to replace the sewer system out here and move it to the street. Such a project would be fraught with problems not to mention the expense which would be incurred. ===========================================

The paperwork is in the works but an OVERALL Coordinator needs to be identified BEFORE 30 JUNE. ARE THERE ANY VOLUNTEERS. IF NO ONE STEPS FORWARD THE SWEEP WILL NOT TAKE PLACE ! ! ! ! VOLUNTEERS ? ? ?

Planting around the gazebo:
Mr. Finkonschen the head of Volunteer Service for the Parks and Recreation Department has volunteered to prepare the soil around the gazebo and to plant salvia, caniza and plumbago. These are plants that do not require a lot of attention. The city arborist will assist in the selection, and will be cost free. Therefore maybe we can use the funds that are available to put some plants in the flowerbed at the park.

My Neighborhood is the Book Mark of My life.
During my life, my neighbors will remember the path that I have walked
Reflections of my actions will be seen by my neighbors' children.
Remembering in slow kindness to my neighbors will bring kindness in return.
Developing good neighbors means that I must be a role model to them as well.
Willingness to help neighbors, increase the help that I will get in time of need.
Each time I help a neighbor means a step closer to heaven when the time comes.
Always remembering to share my good fortune with my neighborhood is a duty I accept
Valor to do what is right is not always easy, but should be done proudly.
Each of the eyes of your neighbor's children will reflect the goodness you have done.
Remember to walk the path of virtue and you will be followed.
Be the lighthouse that guides other neighbors to be the image that you wish to be recognized for.
My neighborhood is a reflection of who I am and is a book mark of my life.
By Dr. R. D Weaver
ELECTION OF OFFICERS:::: Election of officers takes place in December 2006. If the members want the Neighborhood Association to continue it will be necessary for the membership to think of nominations for elected officer positions or step forward and volunteer for those positions. After the December meeting I will no longer be your President. However I will be available to ASSIST with any TRANSITION(S).
