Overview of Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design for Parks and Recreation
Thursday, December 16, 1pm ET, 12pm CT, 11am MT, 10am PT
Parks and recreation areas provide communities with places to gather and enjoy leisure activities. Find out how Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design relates to and enhances crime prevention strategies using the four principles of natural access control, natural surveillance, territorial reinforcement, and maintenance. Participants will also learn to apply the CPTED principles to an open space development plan in order to provide the community with connectivity, diversity, safety and security in parks and recreational settings.
