Lantana, FL – Have you ever seen a Trebuchet? – Or how about a trebuchet on the beach launching coconuts? Well here’s your chance!
Lantana, the town that made national news by saving its beloved Post Office through coconut-bombarding messages, will be reenacting the effort by combining it with the other world famous Lantana celebration known as Lantana Lou Day.
Yes, the residents of warm, sunny Lantana will once again be celebrating "Lantana Lou Day" on our beautiful public beach. You are invited to come see our own "Lantana Lou" emerging from the Atlantic Ocean at Lantana Beach, A1A and East Ocean Avenue, on February 2, at 7:00 a.m. to declare six more weeks of beautiful weather in our great Town.
This year Lantana Lou will be launching coconuts into the ocean with a Trebuchet! There will be music, fun and the “Top Ten Reasons Lantana Lou Should Replace Punxsutawney Phil.” Coffee and danishes will be served by the Dune Deck located at Lantana Beach. See www.lantana.org
