The CRA will be hosting an artist's workshop on February 19th at 9:00 am at the Lake Worth Golf Course. (Enter on 7th Ave N and Lakeside.) The workshop will be a brainstorming session for all local artists( musicians, performers, etc.) youth artists, and community members interested in the CRA's taxpayer funded Cultural Renaissance Program. The goal of the Cultural Renaissance Program is to generate economic development in the City of Lake Worth by the creation of a vibrant Lake Worth art scene through supporting local artists and developing a community art center and gallery downtown at 1000 Lake Ave.
In order to be successful the CRA needs your input. What services would be most helpful to you as an artist? Do you need studio/ rehearsal/ performance space? How can we connect working artists with youth in our community? How would you envision the development of the Arts Center at 1000 Lake Ave? What is your opinion on possibilities for "branding" this arts district?
