At one time or another we all have sought (or will seek) the services of a contractor. We articulate our specifications and conditions. The seemingly knowledgeable contractor promises high quality work at completive prices. The proposal was written to your specifications, but the contractor failed to meet the projected deadlines and/or the finished work was shoddy. Or the contractor took a deposit and disappeared without completing the job. You?’re unable to get in touch with the contractor because the contact numbers you were given are to cell phones and/or pagers. Now we contemplate elevating to an aggravating, costly legal level or just accept that we are the survivors of contractor?’s prey.
