We are looking to have accordian shutters installed on our home. Is anyone aware of the HOA requirement for having shutters on a single family home?I understand the Board must approve it, however, what would be a reason for non-approval? As there are some homes in the complex with these shutters already. Thanks

We are already looking into this for the community as a whole. A meeting with a contractor is coming up really soon (within the next 2 weeks) to get a price for the upper and lower windows. We are looking forward to a great price since it will be a big contract. If you have any questions, please feel free to email me. I will be checkin with Roger to double check the meeting date. Thanks for your response. Are you aware of the company and an approximate cost? Because we have already received a very reasonable quote. Yes, I would like to know the date of the meeting. Do you know if the Board has to approve the installation of shutters? Thanks again

It is my understanding that hurricane shutters will be approved. You must fill out an application and submit it first. It would be nice to compare quotes, there are several families who would like to get them installed before next season.
