Clean up the mess

Posted in: Lakeside
In an occassional drive through the neighborhood it is really nice to see how a majority of the properties are nicely kept and I take pride in my neighborhood, however, for those that choose to leave the front of their garages a mess, cars parked in the yard, uninspected or unregistered vehicles sitting, torn down fences, overgrown grass, roaming pets, garage doors in need of major repair, windows busted, trash strewn around the yard, and many other unsightly messes, how about getting it taken care of. It is the same houses that are a sight to see and should be ashamed to call yourself one of our neighbors, oh and lets not forget those that like to make us listen to your noise pollution. For those that are parents and can't handle your children or young adults, how about getting the screwdriver out and other tools and dismantle the stereos.Hopefully 311 is the next call for anyone that knows about code compliance.

CODE COMPLIANCE

Anonymous, you obviously don't read the Newsletter or attend LNA meetings. Our Vice President, Lena Harris, has taken on the continuous campaign of coordinating with Code Compliance regarding violations in the subdivision. The neighborhood association has taken steps to follow the process the Code Compliance department provides for neighborhood organizations to use. Lena would greatly appreciate your energy and input in her committe.
Code Compliance

Well, thank you for your response, however, reading the newsletter which I do and also attend meetings more times than some people do, I have had many instances where the good ole code compliance department is good in theory, however, enforcement lacks for the big problems. If anyone has the occasion to hear the name Jesse Rodriguez or Rick Williams, may want to reconsider if anything really gets done sometimes. Lets take a look at the address on Sandy Lake that has had a car in the back yard for years and also what about all those cars parked in the yards on Lake Tahoe and Bottomless Lake, doesn't seem like code compliance is really handling much on that note and that when it comes to repeat offenders, the bigger mass do not give a hoot.
I GIVE A HOOT

I drive around from time to time noting addresses and email that list to code compliance.
I've had several junk cars taken off of quite a few streets this way.
I thought the LNA would be doing this, but (from what Ive seen at a few meetings) theyre too invovlved in their own little bickering sessions to get anything done.
