4th Annual Walk, Wag & Run
festival and 5K and 10K run

9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 27 Winfrey Point on White Rock Lake

The event is even bigger this year! Presented by Advocate Magazines, this community festival promotes Halloween fun and fitness for families and their dogs, and will benefit Juliette Fowler Homes.

The Walk, Wag & Run will kick off at 9a.m. with the Run Your Tail Off 5K and 10K runs, followed by the Walk and Wag dog walk/agility course and the Kids 1K Ruff Race with Spooky Doo, Walk, Wag & Run mascot.

The fun continues post race with the Howl-o-Ween Kids Fair, Camp Canine dog extravaganza, live music from eight bands, arts and crafts vendors, food, and costume contests for the whole family.

The Howl-o-Ween Kids Fair includes bounce houses, a petting zoo, gymnastics, magicians, puppet shows, face painting, trick-or-treating, and a pumpkin patch.

Also included are readings from Dallas children?’s authors, special performances from the Dallas Contemporary School of Ballet, Zounds Sounds, and Robert E. Lee and Lakehill Preparatory School choirs.

Camp Canine will focus on fun for the furriest part of the family with an owner/dog look-a-like contest, best dog trick contest, Hollywood Hounds photo booth, and a Haute Dog Couture fashion show.
