Your officers have recently learned that attempted burglaries may have occurred at four homes on Crest Brook Lane in the last two weeks. It is unfortunate that so much time has passed before the neighborhood was alerted by way of this newsletter but, as mentioned, we were just recently informed by one of the homeowners. Nobody was hurt and nothing has been reported stolen. One resident may have been upstairs when a burglar entered the home. The resident may have scared the burglar away when he called down the stairs. We ask everyone to be alert and to watch for suspicious activities. Pay particular attention to white vans or individuals who claim to be contractors. Ask for a business card.
Please watch for the following:
Unusual noises.
Property being removed from houses or vehicles.
Vehicles moving slowly with no apparent destination.
Anything that seems out of place, suspicious or disturbs you or your neighbors.
Call 911 if you observe or suspect foul play in progress. Briefly state as many details as possible, including the what, where, how, who and why of the situation. Details concerning the vehicle (license plate, if possible) and the appearance of the suspicious individuals are particularly important.
As soon as possible, either during the incident or immediately after the incident has passed, please call either Land of Lakes Homeowners Association President Ed Klaas (678-461-7921) or Vice President Linda Craig (770-992-8204) or your Block Captain. Block Captains should call Ed or Linda if they obtain any information. Time is an important factor in attempting to apprehend a criminal.
Please remember also to be a good neighbor by looking in on elderly or infirm residents and to keep an eye out for each other?¡?¯s home while traveling.
On a related note, the City of Roswell has again been contacted with regard to the Neighborhood Watch signs and we have been assured that they will be installed soon. ?¢??
