In our spring newletter as well as at the annual meeting, the filth, trash and overgrowth that is our ''common area'' was discussed.

The problem currently is that is a watershed wasteland of debris and danger for our families and children and a prime hangout for snakes. Was this the original intentions of the developer and builder? I think not!

I understand that they didn't follow through on intended family uses for this area (potential walking trail, play/picnic area) but we did settle financially with them once upon a time.

So now what do we do? At a minimum, clean up the mess and at least make it safer.

But do we settle at that, or do we consider pursuing the intended uses for this area and improve our overall neighborhood by making this a true common area for our families to meet and mingle.

What do you think?

Common area

Us homeowners should not let this property go to waste. I see people walking the neighborhood, riding bikes, and kids playing in the street. This land was setup for us to use for this purpose and I would like to get something started. The more overgrown it gets the harder and longer it will take to get it to the point of use.
