After a year of looking at the weed infested mess, I finally called city of Vancouver, code enforcement. I talked with one young man there who eventually referred me to the correct person. In the interum, I called the listing RE agent and asked him why no one was taking care of the overgrown weed infested mess. He contacted the owner and sai
d that the owner was broke and had a ton of debt and really did not care. However, he did call me back today and promised that it would be done by this coming sunday. The city called back, no, scratch that, I called the city back again and got the right guy who said he was sending out an order to comply and cut down the weeds. After all that, I am still not certain that anything will happen either way but I at least feel good that I made an effort to do something. From the harried sound of the code enforcement officers voice, apparently several others of you have been complaining as well.
If nothing happens by sunday, I plan to call our local city councilman and work some more on it. Does anyone out there know who he or she is?
