Lavaca Neighborhood Association

LET'S PLAY BALL!

Posted in: Lavaca
In the first ever "Play for the Hood" softball game, Lavaca won by a score of 11 to 9 defeating the King William Neighborhood. The game was held at Brackenridge High School on the Fourth of July, 1999 and was followed by a barbeque hosted in King William by Bill Hoagland-Fuchs.

Lavaca Resident Brian Cobb got the match going and plans to be setting up practice times for the Lavaca team. Interested players (or onlookers) should contact Cobb at 271-3377.
Lavaca loses Re-match

All I know is Lavaca lost the re-match held the day before Labor Day, again at Brack. Anyone remember the score?

Rumor has it there may be another game in November...
