Limestone Pointe

All this squabbling is petty and the reason there have been so many problems. This exact sort of situation has been happening every year for at least the last 7 years. No one is ever going to decide who is right and who is wrong. This is a community and we all need to start acting as one. Our Association meetings used to be full. When people stopped seeing their dues accomplish anything in the neighborhood, people gave up on the Association altogether. We meet every year and talk about all the things we're going to accomplish, then talk about the same things next year because people wanted to argue what to do or how to do it. We ALL need to agree to disagree on some things, come to a compromise on others and work for the good of the community, if we want to get anything accomplished.

Challenges

I agree, but some people challenged the previous board to drop dues. We did that to cover only the barest of expenses. A few people thought the landscaping company was still overpaid.

Now you're saying the HOA Board didn't do enough for the community. I guess covering some of the Board's expenses out of my own pocket and keeping costs to a minimum wasn't enough. NOW you're saying people wanted more things in return for their dues. This was never mentioned to me when I met with people one-on-one on various walks. (Some people didn't even want to talk to me; their loss.) Nobody said anything about this or offered any suggestions about what they wanted to see out of the Board. In fact, most of the feedback I got was positive and appreciative. No one mentioned anything about give up on the Association. I was contacted by only ONE community member who opposed the HOA existence and I still help them with their situation anyway.

The contact information of the previous Board members was ALWAYS available and MANY people did take advantage of it.

If you were displeased with anything you had an obligation to say something! Not bash people later for it.
