EVEN WITH SCHOOL OUT THE POLICE ARE STILL PATROLING OLA AND PULLING OVER SPEEDERS......IVE SEEN 2 IN THE LAST FEW DAYS.  THIS IS GOOD NEWS!!! BECAUSE WHEN SCHOOL STARTS BACK UP THIS MAY BE ANOTHER PROBLEM AGAIN.

IN ADDITION WITH SCHOOL OUT NOW MORE KIDS ARE WALKING TO THE POOL AND RIDING BIKES......THIS IS A NEIGHBORHOOD NOT THE AUTOBAHN!!!

THERE IS ALSO AN UNDERCOVER OFFICER THAT SITS IN THE CHURCH PARKING LOT OFF LINEBAUGH AND MONITORS SPEEDING THERE AS WELL.......

This is all good to know! Maybe Forest Hills is finally getting some respect back. Our area had sort of gone downhill for a few years, but maybe now that the residents feel as though they have a chance to control their neighborhood instead of the riff-raff controlling it, we are calling TPD for assistance more with regard to speeders, suspicious pesons, etc. The more we call when there is a problem, the more police presence we get. The more police presence we have, the less outsiders will interfere with our quality of life. We should all pat ourselves on the back for our new-found involvement in keeping our home area nice! And thank you to TPD/Neighborhood Watch for your involvement in helping us take back our neighborhood. This is a really great area of Tampa to live in - just about everything is conveniently located. I especially like being aboe to walk to the pool and the library.

they had a speed trap set up on linebaugh today, nailed quite a few speeders. I'm thrilled that we're getting extra attention, no idea why - but we'll take it!  I had a conversation w/the safety officer (teacher) from forest hills elementary before school got out a few weeks ago.  I fully intend to ramp up before school starts in August, I'd like to get parents and teachers, etc patrolling the sidewalk on Ola to prevent the mess that takes place at drop off and pick up times.  If you have time to help or be there or work on this, let me know Connie.  ( and whoever else may be interested in helping)

Word to the few neighbors w/a  lead foot, people are noticing, it's a matter of time before you get reported. Our kids, pets, etc aren't worth whatever rush you're in.
