I have bit my tongue long enough. There are 2 things that really irk me right now. The main item is the lake on Purple Martin. Yes, I live on that ''lake'' or cesspool, whatever you want to call it. Had my husband and I known it would wind up looking like this we never would have built here. It is a real shame we have to look at that disgusting eyesore everyday. Even the ducks don't want to swim in anymore. It is way past due for our fountain. Where is it, Mr. Dwight? You have been re-elected, and I suppose you only won because no one else wanted the job. I don't blame them either. I have yet to see you do anything for our association. So what, we have a few newsletters. Big deal! We pay our dues, everyone has access to the lakes, so everyone should pay dues whether they live on a lake lot or not. The ''lakes'' are for drainage, not just for fishing, so therefore, they belong to the entire neighborhood. I'm tired of non-lake lot owners whining and complaining they shouldn't have to pay for or help maintain them. Waaa! Waaa! Waaa!
My second gripe is what Mr. Self did to the Purple Martin cul-de-sac last year. He made a miserable mess, that's what he did, and wasn't held accountable for it. The street in that circle looks deplorable, and the mud constantly washing into the street didn't help the situation either. Perhaps he should have been forced to pay for landscaping it since he left it grassless last year after he dumped dirt all over it from his yard, and the grass still hasn't all come in yet. Also the Parish came out to dig out the ditches and rolled in someone's yard and made big ruts, and there are big potholes in the street. I am sick and tired of all the empty promises from the Parish and this association. We need action NOW!!!! The Purple Martin needs urgent attention. We've waited long enough.
