An odd behaving racoon was spotted on Heritage Hills Rd. in Rolling Oaks this morning.
A Rolling Oaks neighbor called 311 because the racoon was trying to enter a home. When it could not, it continued to circle the home for about an hour.
CMPD showed up, however, due to lawn mowers running in the area, the racoon could not be found. CMPD continued to circle the Rolling Oaks and Clearbrook neighborhoods.
The officer said, this is the time of year the racoons become disoriented and die from distemper, so we will see them during the day exhibiting odd behaviors. Otherwise, racoons will usually not be seen during the day.
Thank you CMPD!
