I recently purchased a new air conditioner for my Londonj Terrace apartment and was told that it was in violation of the building policy of not having any unit that is above 7.5 amps. I had it returned and had a new one installed. Problem solved.
I have lived in LT for 15 years and never heard of the 7.5 amp policy. I assume others are in the same position. (My unit was one of three confiscated on the same day.) I requested that management send out a reminder to residents about the policy to save them the same aggrivation that I experienced. They have refused. I thought the association may want to try and inform residents instead. They have turned the workers in the mailroom into air conditioner police. They work hard enough as it is.
