Family Festival recap

The Festival was a tremendous success. Approximately 600 people came out on a sunny Sunday to browse, eat, bid, listen to music and magic shows, and ride the train on Commodore Sloat, and Carthay Circle was once again a model community.

After budgeting for the event to cost about $1,000, the generosity of our sponsors, the fervent nature of silent auction bidding, the variety of vendors, and the insatiable appetite of our community's children to partake in the moonbounce, petting zoo, pony rides, train ride, and swing led to a profit over $1,500 for the Carthay Circle Neighborhood Association.

It's not too soon to start planning for the 2004, which will be the 80th anniversary of the establishment of Carthay Circle!

Thanks again to all who volunteered, participated, and came out to support the community!
