Street Repairs

Posted in: Regent Square
I have lived in this neighborhood for over 18 years now, and have yet to see my street, Ivy Street, be repaved. I was pleased to see Curts repaved, and hoped that they would continue on with the other streets in our square.
Unfortunately, that was not so. What can we do in order to receive repavement for ALL of the streets in Regent Square? What was it about Curts Avenue that made such an improvment take place?
Thank you.
Street Repairs

I'm glad to hear someone speakout on our web site regarding this rediculous oversite in basic city services. By some accounts the streets haven't be repaved in over 20 years and we should probably float a petition at our next meeting to be delivered to our councilmen's office to let this problem be known.

There is, though, supposedly a plan actually a promise from the 10th district office that stated that Regent Square is slated to have two streets repaved during the July 99 to July 00 fiscal year. Curts was the first street and should be followed before July 00 by one other street. Then the remaining 4 streets are to be done during the next fiscal year July 00 to July 01.
I suggest that those concerned call or fax the council office to force this promise to be kept. Squeaky well should get the grease. And more than just squeaky we were promisded this. Actually you might be able to email these complaints through this site.
