Dear Neighbors,
In the LA Times on Saturday 30 August 03, in the business section, the article was about how Walmart was seeking a petition drive to subvert the normal city planning process a development must go through to build a large development.
It seems to me that this is also being done here uner the 'Friends of Silver Lake'. The link appears under community hotlinks.
Another item that this group indorses is a casino in the area.
My discussion would be
1. Do we want to see a Walmart in the area? If we do, should they go through the normal prceedures?
2. Does support the Indians automatically mean a casino?
3. Does the hotlink on the neighborhood council web page mean support for this group?
